The Church in India is at work in dynamic ways!

And we’re alongside them as they provide education, shelter, pastoral care and HOPE in some of the most difficult areas of India. They have the vision and local expertise, all they lack is the resources to match.

Your donation will make a huge difference in the lives of people like these:

Local Education

Classes for 190 children in a remote area of the Indian Himalayas

“My name is Riya. I am fifteen years old and I read in class 10. It takes approximately two hours to reach my school. Before, we had to go much further to get higher education, but now it has become easier. The thing that worries me most is that my family members won’t be able to support me financially for my higher studies. I will study well and I will appear soon for a board exam. I hope one day my Certificate will help me get a job, and I will be able to raise the living standard of my family.

To everyone in Australia who is supporting our school: I am very grateful towards you as you are helping us without knowing who we are.”

Church leadership project

Training and support for ministers

“My name is Aarav. I travel to distant congregations for counselling, prayer and words of encouragement. I make relief arrangements especially during foods and other calamities. I have been working with a small tribal community consisting of 26 families since 2016. They are mostly daily wage earners living on the fringes of the forest land. In their hamlet there is no primary school, medical facilities or good drinking water facilities and they live in shanty shelters. I am hoping to help them long term but local religious fundamentalists monitor my every move – every effort of the church is viewed with suspicion. A negative report could lead to arrest. This is the hardest part of my ministry. I am encouraged by the word of God when life is difficult.

I am also encouraged and hopeful because there are communities all over the world who are praying and supporting us.”

Amritsar Hostel

Home for girls and support for education

“My name is Maryam and I am 16. My parents are labourers. The hostel is a special home for me where I can be free to study and play in a place where I feel love and care. I miss my family, but I have the other girls to keep me company and share my problems with. If not for the hostel my parents would never have been able to provide this education for me. I would probably be looking for work doing manual labour or taking up domestic or cooking duties like my mother. But now, I hope to become a doctor.

I want to thank you for your support. I pray that God will fulfil all your heart’s desires and give you happiness.”

Support our partnership in mission by making a gift today.

Your gift will help our partners provide shelter for girls, education for children, as well as resource ministers and local churches as they share the love of Jesus in spiritual and practical ways.
